New Student, New School: Take Two

Luka climbed out of the helicopter behind Chuku, lifting her hand to her eyes to shield herself from the sun. It didn't look like a bad school...in fact it looked a little cooler than the other academy.

"So, this is it, huh? I'm here for the remainder of the school year?" It was still hard to believe that she'd just left her school for another one...without her parents permission. "Now what?"

Chuku handed her a small device.

"This is something that the students use around here. It works as a map, and has access to the internet, and acts as communicators between students and teachers alike. It can even connect to printers around here. Since classes are almost over you might as well take the rest of the day off. You can use it to look around campus if you wish, although you should probably save that for when you receive your schedule, which should be emailed to you within the next couple of hours or so. You will then be able to print it off later." They went past the gates into the courtyard, a huge fountain depicting 3 monsters could be seen. Chuku gave her the pale-amber uniform and a piece of paper with a number on it.

"Your room number is 23. Also, you have a roommate. If you have any questions, call me. I usually don't stay here long, but I have time to kill before the big tournament, and I don't want the press interviewing me, so I'll stay on the island until then."

Chuku started to walk off.

Luka bowed in thanks as she accepted her new items and uniform. "Thank you, Mr. Chuku." She opened her new PDA and looked up the map of the campus. She was only a little ways away from the dorms, and so she slung her uniform over her shoulder and made her way to the dorms.
